Managed agent

Webhook routing

Your code handles every message. Wassist forwards WhatsApp messages to your endpoint and you reply through the API.

How it works

Every WhatsApp number (including the sandbox) has a routing mode that decides who answers an inbound message:
  • Agent: a Wassist-hosted agent replies using its prompt, model, tools and knowledge.
  • Webhook: Wassist sends a signed subscription.message.received event to your URL, and you reply with the Messages API.
